Weight VS Muzzle Velocity
Common Airsoft BB weights are 0.20g, 0.23g, and 0.25g. Heavier BBs produce lower muzzle velocity but resist wind better, often improving range and accuracy. As FPS increases, it’s generally best to use a heavier BB for optimal performance. Switching to a heavier BB does not change the Joules (energy) produced by the gun when fired.
Precision Matters
Precision is key to high-quality BBs and proper barrel pairing. BBs typically measure 5.90–5.98mm (±0.01mm); matching them closely to your inner barrel improves air seal and performance. Keep barrels clean, as tight tolerances leave little room for debris. Choose polished, consistently sized BBs with minimal air bubbles—less internal air means better balance and tighter grouping.
