Teaching your child how to ride a bike is an unforgettable milestone, and the Schwinn Elm 12" kids bike is designed with safety and comfort in mind to make the process easy and fun. Built for little ones ready to roll on their first bike, this beginner kids bike features a low step-over frame that makes it easy for kids to hop on and off. A natural, upright riding position helps build confidence from the start and makes pedaling feel comfortable and controlled. Plus, the kid-sized seat, grips, and pedals are perfectly proportioned for small hands and feet. Every ride feels smooth and stable thanks to durable wheels with pavement-ready tires that roll easily and help kids stay balanced as they learn. Stopping is simple and intuitive; kids just pedal backward to engage the coaster brake. A chainguard helps keep tiny fingers safe and clothing protected. The tool-free adjustable seatpost lets the bike grow along with your child, while the seat handle provides a gentle guiding hand during those first wobbly rides or an easy way to carry the bike back into the garage. Included training wheels add extra stability for kids learning to ride, and they remove easily without tools when it’s time to try riding on two wheels or explore the balance-bike method of learning. Either way, boys and girls will be smiling in no time, especially with the fun handlebar basket they’ll love showing off. Quick and easy assembly means kids are riding in minutes and parents stay frustration-free. Only one tool is required, and it’s included in the box. From first rides down the driveway to early neighborhood adventures, the Schwinn Elm 12" is the perfect starter bike for little riders ready to explore. Founded on quality and designed in Madison, WI, Schwinn has been America’s trusted bike brand for over 130 years, helping countless kids ride with confidence for generations.
